Colombia Peak to Pub, Mt Hutt to Methven
Multisport event with 3 sections, ski/snowboard, bike & run. The Peak to Pub is a three section race which can be done individually or in a team of three. Held annually, the race starts on skis or snowboards from the peak of Mt Hutt down to the base area where you switch to a mountain bike and race down the access road before running 11km to the Blue Pub in Methven for a well deserved beer.

Rhythm & Alps Music Festival, Terrace Downs
The biggest little festival under NZ's Southern Alps! Taking its award-winning festival down south, Rhythm and Vines is holding a new sister festival in Canterbury in December! The new festival Rhythm & Alps will be held over two days, 28 & 29 December at the picturesque Terrace Downs resort at the base of Mt Hutt (50 minutes drive from Christchurch).

Women's road cycling event with 37km & 76km circuits, Canterbury. The ski crazy town of Methven in inland Canterbury hosts the annual Brazier Property Girls on Bikes road cycling event. Two courses are available to riders, 37km and 76km circuits, catering to newcomers to organised cycling as well as the more proficient. Stunning Southern Alps scenery & great after party!
