Kepler Challenge 1 December 2012
NZ's premier mountain run on Kepler Track, Fiordland National Park. The Kepler Challenge Mountain Run is described as "the jewel in NZ's mountain running calendar". Held annually on the first Saturday in December, the 60 km event on the Kepler Track near Te Anau plus its sister race the Luxmore Grunt (27km) attract a wide range of competitors.

The world's original International Ironman race Ironman New Zealand is held each year on the shores of Lake Taupo amidst stunning scenery. NZ's premier cycling event with 12 different options. The Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is an annual event run in November. Cyclists have the opportunity to race around Lake Taupo, either solo or as part of a team. With 12 different events catering for every level of biker, Cycle Challenge is now one of New Zealand's most popular sporting events.
