Adidas Auckland Marathon 28 October 2012
Over 15,000 participants from New Zealand and overseas take to the streets of Auckland City in New Zealand's premier and largest road race, the adidas Auckland Marathon.

adidas Auckland Marathon Competitors can take in the spectacular views that Auckland has to offer while running across the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge in the Marathon and Half Marathon events. The course starts in Devonport on Auckland's North Shore, crosses the bridge then heads out along Auckland City's scenic waterfront before finishing at Victoria Park. There are also a range of shorter distances to choose from, including the Quarter Marathon, 5km Run & Walk and KIDS MARATHON events, allowing participants of all ages and abilities to take part. Kids Marathon KIDS MARATHON gives 7-12 year olds the opportunity to be part of the Auckland Marathon. By running between approximately 3 to 5 kilometres per week depending on the training programme, the kids complete a full marathon over 8, 10 or 12 weeks. Each kid is then able to finish the final 2.195 kilometres of the marathon distance in front of thousands of cheering fans, friends and family through the finish line of the adidas Auckland Marathon. Event Day Entertainment Victoria Park is the location of the Finish Venue, Corporate Village and 'Party in the Park' post event and is set up to accommodate all participants and supporters from individuals and families to corporate groups. Live music is provided free of charge starting at approx 8:00am. Other entertainment on Event Day includes kids play area, merchandise and retail tents. Accommodation and Transport Accommodation during this key sporting event will be keenly sought after, so early booking of accommodation is recommended.
