WOMAD is a true celebration of world music, arts and dance, an exhilarating mix of sounds and sights from around the world with great performances and food in the stunning 52 hectare Brooklands Park and TSB Bowl in New Plymouth.

The Womad Experience Now an annual festival, WOMAD New Zealand is attended by more than 38,000 people over 3 days. As well as a stunning line up of music and dance on seven stages, WOMAD features artists in conversation, live cooking demonstrations and workshops by artists, evening films under the stars, a global village packed with art, craft and food from around the globe, sustainable village and Kidzone. Special senior viewing platforms at the 3 main stages with seating, shade and free water are available for those over 65 years. Artists WOMAD features 250 + artists from around the world - Africa, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand - a truly international event. The All Star Gala will entertain and amaze you as many of the festival's performers come together on the main stage on Sunday night. This performance is always a festival highlight. Venue & Tickets Womad NZ is held at the stunning 55 acre Brooklands Park & the TSB Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth, Taranaki, one of the most beautiful outdoor venues in the world. The main stage is set at the base of a natural amphitheatre that provides a stunning setting and an acoustic experience second to none. The other six stages are located throughout Brooklands Park, including the Global Village's food and art and craft stalls and workshop spaces.
